Health, Safety and Security is taken seriously at ABS.
A dedicated team of guards (including a Head Guard and internal guards) provides 24-hour control at all access points to the school and throughout the school campus.
In order to protect School property and for the safety of all students, staff and visitors to the School, the guards are instructed to request identification from all visitors entering the campus.

On presentation of an identity document each visitor is issued with a Visitor Pass that must be worn while in school and exchanged for the identity document upon leaving the school.
CCTV cameras are in use on our campus.
The guards are also responsible for the control and direction of all vehicles entering the school campus and parents, their drivers and other visitors, are asked to cooperate with them to ensure a smooth and safe flow of traffic at all times. Only approved vehicles are allowed to enter the campus.
The school has procedures for Fire Evacuation, Snow Evacuation, Earthquake and Lockdown. Drills are performed on a regular basis.
A Health and Safety Committee (that includes staff, parent and student representatives) meets regularly to assess risks and develop strategies to promote a healthy and safe working environment at the school.
From August 2009, the Amman Baccalaureate School will be a non-smoking campus.
