We are proud of our school facilities. Each school section has its own facilities which include labs, ICT rooms and spacious playgrounds and most classrooms are equipped with interactive boards.

The Sports Complex building and the track and field stadium are among the best in Jordan and serve the entire student body by providing for a wide range of athletics and other sporting activities.

The Art and Performing Arts Departments also have spacious classrooms and display areas.

The jewel of the school is its fully equipped Theatre which accommodates an audience of 400 and is fully utilised by our students and the community on a regular basis.

 Media Centres

There are three spacious, colourful and fully equipped Media Centres at ABS. The MCs include audio/visual facilities and equipment, fully networked computer clusters, a big collection of print material, as well as digital subscription databases.

Besides providing the students and staff with the place and resources to do research, study and read for pleasure, the MCs also serve as favoured school venues for staff development workshops, special lectures, exhibits, as well as whole grade level meetings.

 Science

The Junior School has a general science laboratory, used by all grades. MYS and IBDC students have the use of seven science laboratories and three preparation rooms all equipped to the highest international standards.

 Computing

ABS has five computer rooms equipped with networked PCs all of which have Internet access through the school’s servers.

Computers are used for Information & Communication Technology as well as in the teaching of other subjects, and the school aims to ensure that every student becomes computer literate.

 Design Technology

ABS is well-equipped in this area. Facilities include a multimedia workshop where students can learn to work in wood, metal and plastics; two technical drawing rooms, an electronics lab and computer graphics lab.

 Performing Arts

Besides music and drama rooms, the school has Multi-Purpose Halls which can be used for smaller informal concerts and productions.

A theatre, which seats 400 and is fully equipped to professional standards, yet can be operated by students, is also used in these programmes.

 Art

The Middle Years School and Diploma College share a suite of five Art rooms, one of which is equipped with computers while another is used specifically for Ceramics and Craft.

The Junior School has its own general Art room.

 Sports Facilities

The school’s sports facilities are centred on the Sports Complex with its multipurpose gymnasium, full-size Astroturf soccer pitch, tennis courts, and 400m running track; a purpose-built stadium seats 1500.

The gymnasium, which has a parquet floor, is equipped with retractable partitions and six adjustable baskets, and provides seating for students and parents to watch sporting events. Other facilities in the complex include a weights room, dance studio, table tennis area, gymnastics area, changing rooms, a cafeteria, first-aid room and a VIP suite.

The Sports Complex is used by the PE department for teaching, by the activities programme and Little Leagues, the gymnastics and Tae Kwan Do clubs, as well as by the community.

The Sports Complex Manager co-ordinates the use of these facilities.

 Cafeteria

The cafeteria, which seats over 200, serves hot food, snacks and salads every day for students and staff, besides catering for a wide range of meetings, events and special occasions.

The Junior School eating area (fully furnished and air conditioned) is also used for different activities (official exams, exhibitions and other events).
