Welcome to the website of the Amman Baccalaureate School!
On behalf of the entire staff, students and parents, I would like to welcome you to the Amman Baccalaureate School. It is a great privilege and honour for me to have taken over the Principalship of the School from the 1 July 2009.
I have been working in education for over 20 years, including at least 10 years as a Senior Administrator in prestigious schools in the Far East and Europe. Although it is the first time for myself and my family to live and work in the Middle East and Jordan, I can assure you that we have all already settled and are greatly enjoying living in such a wonderful country, with such a welcoming and hospitable people. I am therefore greatly looking forward to working with the entire School community to continue the remarkable success story of the Amman Baccalaureate School into its 29th year.
There is no question that the Amman Baccalaureate School has established an excellent and well deserved reputation in the Kingdom, regionally and internationally for providing an outstanding quality education for students from Kindergarten through Junior and Middle Years Schools to the International Baccalaureate College. The School is justly proud of its past achievements and traditions and these have been celebrated and confirmed through repeated accreditations by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and authorisations by the International Baccalaureate Organisation for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) (Grades 6 – 10) and Diploma Programme (DP).
Over the past three decades the school has always sought ways to continuously improve upon the education that it provides and we look forward in the 2009 – 2010 academic year to the development of a new Strategic Plan for the next 5 years that will involve all stakeholders at the school: students, staff, parents and Board of Trustees in mapping out the future direction of the school.
We certainly have all the raw materials present to ensure continued success. Our staff embodies a wide range of experience and a wealth of enthusiasm. Our parents are tremendously supportive and contribute a huge amount of time and energy to School events. Our students throughout the School are lively, enthusiastic and highly motivated, with the graduating class securing places at the most prestigious tertiary institutions in the UK, USA, Canada, Europe and Jordan
I am confident that over the coming months this website will reflect all the accomplishments of the ABS community and give you a real taste of what makes ABS such a special place.

مرحبا بكم في الموقع الإلكتروني لمدرسة البكالوريا - عمان
بالنيابة عن جميع الموظفين والطلاب والأهالي، أود أن أرحب بكم في مدرسة البكالوريا - عمان. إنه لشرف عظيم لي أن أتولي إدارة المدرسة إبتداءً من 1 يوليو 2009.
قد عملت في مجال التعليم لمدة تزيد عن عشرين عاماً، بما فيها عشر سنوات في الإدارة العليا في مدارس عريقة في الشرق الأقصى وأوروبا. وعلى الرغم من أنها المرة الأولى التي نعيش فيها أنا وعائلتي في الشرق الأوسط والأردن، يمكنني أن أؤكد لكم أننا قد تأقلمنا وبأننا نتمتع لدرجة كبيرة في العيش بهذا البلد الرائع بشعبه المضياف. لذلك أتطلع إلى العمل مع مجتمع المدرسة بأجمعه لأكمل قصة النجاح الرائعة لمدرسة البكالوريا – عمان في عامها التاسع والعشرين.
ومما لا شك فيه بأن مدرسة البكالوريا - عمان تتمتع بسمعة ممتازة في المملكة بالإضافة إلى سمعتها إقليميا ودولياً، لتوفيرها تعليماً متميزاً للطلاب ابتداءً من الروضة إلى المرحلة الإبتدائية ومرحلة السنوات المتوسطة حتى كلية البكالوريا الدولية. يحق للمدرسة أن تفتخر بإنجازاتها وتقاليدها، وقد ظهر ذلك من خلال الاعتماد من قبل مجلس المدارس الدولية ( CIS ( ووكالة نيو انجلاند للمدارس والكليات (NEASC) وتراخيص منظمة البكالوريا الدولية لبرنامج السنوات المتوسطة (MYP) (للصفوف 6 – 10) وبرنامج دبلوم البكالوريا (DP).
على مدى العقود الثلاثة الماضية سعت المدرسة دوماً لمواصلة تحسين والتعليم الذي تقدمه، ونتطلع في السنة الدراسية 2009 - 2010 لوضع خطة استراتيجية جديدة لمدة السنوات الخمس القادمة لرسم التوجهات المستقبلية للمدرسة بمشاركة الأطراف المعنية من طلاب، موظفين، أهالي ومجلس الأمناء.
لدينا بالتأكيد الخامات الرئيسية لضمان استمرار هذا النجاح. فموظفونا يتمتعون بثروة واسعة من الخبرات والحماس. كما أن الأهالي يدعموننا ويساهمون بفعاليات المدرسة إلى أبعد حد. طلابنا في جميع أنحاء المدرسة حيويون ومتحمسون للغاية إضافة إلى خريجي هذا العام الذين التحقوا بأعرق الجامعات في بريطانيا، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، كندا، أوروبا والأردن.
إنني على ثقة بأن هذا الموقع الإلكتروني سيعكس جميع إنجازات مجتمع البكالوريا – عمان خلال الأشهر القليلة القادمة وسيعطيكم فكرة واضحة عما يجعل مدرسة البكالوريا – عمان مكاناً مميزاً.
